Wednesday, February 13, 2008

Lola Kutty is all set to make her Bollywood debut.Anu Menon, of Channel V's Lola Kutty fame, is all set to step into Bollywood with Pritish Nandy Communication's Raat Gayi Baat Gayi.

The film also stars Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Neha Dhupia and Navneet Nishan. Anu plays Vinay Pathak's wife in the film

Rongita Nandy says that Anu suited the character very well. As a producer Rongita had many options to figure out which actor would pull off the interesting characters in the film. And the dynamic Anu Menon had immense potential to bring in energy, fun and magic to her character.

Excited about her first film, Anu said that it was the well-written script, which made her sign the film.

Now the interesting question doing the rounds is will Lola stay the way she is or will she get a makeover a.k.a Jassi?

Raat Gayi Baat Gayi is directed by Saurabh Shukla and is expected to release later this year.

Small Screen……Big Screen…….Dreamz Unlimited…BCCI Team….

What Next for the King Khan????

Those close to Shahrukh Khan say there's a strong desire within this actor to please. Summing up this admirable quality, he admits, "I'm an actor and I'm always entertaining. I'm a court jester. But my acting is for real. I'm on 24 hours. The only time I don't act is when I'm sleeping. But I'm genuine, I don't fake my emotions. I can't dissociate from acting anymore. You can take me out of the actor, but you can't take the actor out of me."

His career isn't just limited to acting though as is obvious from the number of ventures he is involved in.

Small or big screen, life or cricket, advertisements or endorsements, Shah Rukh Khan is the king. He acts, dances, plays host and has a dominating presence - in short he is a true entertainer who stays on in the mind long after he fades off the screen. After being on a winning spree with two blockbusters "Chak De! India" and "Om Shanti Om", he turns to television this year with two game shows.

The first one is tentatively titled "Bade Hue to Kya Hua", which is formatted on "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader", a US-based game show featuring adult contestants facing questions picked directly from the textbooks of first to fifth graders. Produced by Siddharth Basu's Synergy Adlabs, It will be aired on STAR Plus.

"Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader" is very popular abroad and is running in 50 countries. Shah Rukh will be hosting the Indian version of 'Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader', the biggest reality show of the past year in the US, which will be produced by Synergy Adlabs," said Basu, head of Synergy Adlabs.

"Bade Hue to Kya Hua" is Shah Rukh's second game show for the company after the hugely successful "Kaun Banega Crorepati 3" (KBC) for the same channel. Reports suggest that Shah Rukh will also host the fourth season of KBC.

"We don't know when KBC is going to happen. It might come after 'Bade Hue to Kya Hua' or the end of the year. According to the contract signed between Shah Rukh and STAR, he will finish the series he has signed for," said a source close to STAR Plus.

For his first stint on KBC, Shah Rukh apparently got Rs.10 million per episode, but his remuneration for the new show is still under wraps.

Not only in films and television, he is an even bigger king of the advertising world. The superstar has paid an advance tax of Rs.270 million ($6.8 million) on his estimated income during the current financial year of 2007-08, but a major share of it has gone into paying for his income from endorsing a slew of products and other sources.Sources in the advertising agency for which the superstar has worked reveal that his income from endorsements fetches him Rs.1.5 billion ($38 million) a year, the highest for any Indian advertising "model".

Apart from that Shah Rukh is the costliest celebrity guest. When actors like Malaika Arora Khan, Dia Mirza and Isha Koppikar charge nearly Rs.1 million to perform at a marriage, the Badshah of Bollywood charges Rs.10 million to just grace the function and add glamour.

And now Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta will take on each other on the cricket field this April. Both the Bollywood stars have bought a team each auctioned by the BCCI for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL). Shahrukh won the bid for the Kolkata team for a sum of $75.09 million while Preity Zinta and her boyfriend Ness Wadia won the bid for the Chandigarh team for $76 million.

The tournament will feature eight teams representing eight cities in Indian. The teams will play T20 tournament involving foreign players as well. Shahrukh Khan who is a cricket fan had run into controversy with the BCCI after they alleged him of using cricket to promote his movies. The actor had swore not to enter a cricket stadium. The BCCI had had apologised to the star. Though Shahrukh Khan was interested in the Mumbai team he was edged out by Reliance Industries MD Mukesh Ambani who won the bid for $112 million.

When discussing his venture into the sphere of producers, together with actress and close long-time friend Juhi Chawla, and the man whom both of them consider to be a father figure, Aziz Mirza, he has shown himself to be very diplomatic.

"The logic of Dreamz Unlimited is not to make money but to make different films," he states matter-of- factly. "It should be a little bit different from what others are doing. If I find that everyone is opening a toy store, I would like to open a toy store with one special toy which nobody has. The idea is to make the kind of programmes that we would like to watch, programmes which don't insult your intelligence."

To date, Dreamz Unlimited has brought lovers of the Hindi cinema three films. Chronologically they are, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000), Asoka (2001), and Chalte Chalte (2003).

Notwithstanding an enviable fan following abroad, the Bollywood superstar feels that "there is no place" for him in Hollywood or European cinema and says that he was more keen on taking the Indian cinema to the global audience. "There is no place for me in the Hollywood or in the European cinema. I would like to continue to work in India and to take the Indian cinema to the outside world," SRK, who was given a rapturous reception in Berlin as he made his debut at the Berlin Film Festival to attend the German premiere of his latest blockbuster Om Shanti Om , said at a press conference.

As German fans drooled over Shah Rukh Khan, the national media shed its perceptions of "bullock cart India" and trained its attention on the Bollywood superstar when he landed here, with one journalist even saying "he is as popular as the Pope".Some German television channels suddenly turned their cameras from the Hollywood glitterati to Khan as excited fans let out loud shrieks to greet him at the Berlinale Friday night.

Some channels narrated details of Khan's personal life, his wife Gauri and their two children.

The German daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, which was highly critical about India and Indians until the mid-1990s, when the world began to notice the South Asian country's economic and technological prowess, said that many people from all over Europe had descended on Berlin to see their favourite star.

"He is as popular as the Pope, but he (Khan) has more sex appeal," wrote Ekkehard Knoerer in the Berlin tabloid Die Tageszeitung, while trying to capture the mood at the Berlinale.

"The IT revolution and Bollywood have together contributed to a vastly improved image of India's prowess," said Rudolf Schweizer, a German businessman who frequently visits Bangalore and Hyderabad to oversee work contracted to Indian companies."India, along with China, is seen as an economic powerhouse and one of the two fastest growing economies of the world," he added.

Shah Rukh Friday also announced that he had plans to direct a film in Berlin, but admitted that he had no concrete dates for the shooting.

The superstar said he was humbled and touched by the interest in his films and in the Indian cinema shown by film enthusiasts in Germany.

Now where next shall the King Khan pop up?????

Munnabhai gets life sentence!!!!

Tuesday, February 12, 2008

Actor Sanjay Dutt, who is fondly called by his fans as Munnabhai, had tied the knot with Manyata, his girlfriend of two years. The 48-year-old filmstar and Manyata, who have been close friends for last two years, have become husband and wife.

The private wedding ceremony took place at the Taj Exotica in Goa on February 7 where they had a court marriage under the Special Marriage Act, in the presence of some close friends as witnesses. Two officers from the registrar of marriages in Goa were called in to solemnise the marriage.

A visibly happy Sanjay Dutt tied the knot with Manyata as per Hindu customs on Monday 11th February, five days after their court marriage in Goa. The rituals took place at a Manyata’s close friend Pradeep’s house. The marriage ceremony took place even as Dutt was shooting for Suniel Shetty's production, EMI. Among those present for the wedding included his close pals Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, director and TV presenter Sajid Khan, Ajay , Prashant and Bunty Walia but his family members gave the wedding a miss. Dharam Oberoi, the CEO of Sanjay Dutt Production also attended the marriage ceremony. The Bollywood star's two younger sisters, P
riya and Namrata, and other family relatives did not attend the ceremony. Most of his colleagues from Bollywood were also not present.

The Munnabhai star, accompanied by a few close friends, arrived at Versova, a posh locality in north-west Mumbai, for the ceremony in the morning with the band playing music. The merry-making baratis comprised only a few close childhood friends of the actor. After the ceremony , a beaming Dutt asked the media, "Are you happy with my marriage?". On getting an affirmative reply, he thanked the media and said, "I am also very happy and I thank you for the positive support."

When asked about his daughter Trishala's reaction, Dutt paused and said, "she is happy".

However, Manyata fell short of words to express her emotion and said, "I am so happy that I don't have words to express."

The inquisitive paparazzi were kept strictly away.

"Yes, Sanju is now officially married to Manyata. We all attended the simple private ceremony Monday afternoon. We've never seen Sanju more at peace with himself. He feels his troubles are finally over. And he feels Manyata has brought into his life that stability that was lacking for so many years," said one of the invitees.

"Her entry into his life coincided with the end of Sanju's troubles to a large extent. So he considers her very lucky for him," the invitee added.

The newly weds interacted freely with the media and both were courteous to journalists, unlike in the past when they tried to avoid them.

Happiness was writ large on their faces as they came down from the seventh floor after the rituals were over.

It was years since Sanjay has let himself go in public as uninhibitedly as he did Monday, as a band played the beat of a popular marriage movie song.

Suddenly, the lines of anxiety observed when he had come out of jail last time disappeared from his face as he mingled with the invitees and the waiting media-persons.

When asked why she did not attend, Priya Dutt, Congress MP from northwest Mumbai, feigned ignorance about the ceremony. She said she had come to know about it after television channels telecast the proceedings live.

Apparently, Sanjay has allowed his new wife to take over all his financial dealings. She also handles his new film production company.

In all probability Sanjay's next release would be Suniel Shetty's production EMI. Produced by Suniel's company Popcorn Entertainment, the film also stars Malaika Arora and Urmila Matondkar.

"All his work in EMI is over. We just have a few more days to go. Then the film goes into post-production. We hope to release in May-June 2008," Suniel said.

Sanjay made a brief appearance as himself in Rohit Jugraj's just released Superstar.

"Though harassed by so many problems, Mr. Sanjay Dutt didn't hesitate for a minute in agreeing to be in my film. I wish him all happiness," said Jugraj.

Rumours of their marriage had started doing the rounds after the couple issued an advertisement in newspapers congratulating Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on his 82nd birthday last month. The ad read Mrs & Mrs Dutt.
The couple refused to comment when the news of their marriage surfaced recently. Now, the truth has come out for all to know!! On Monday, the couple was no longer cagey about the whole affair, which was the subject of much speculation since October 2007.

They went out of the way to portray themselves as a happily married couple, unmindful of all the controversies dogging them. They also willingly posed for photographs.

On Feb 9, Manyata attended a public function sporting vermilion, traditional mark of a married Hindu woman, on her forehead, and admitted that she and Sanjay were married.

"The point is, both Sanju and Manyata are happy and that is all that matters today," quipped an invitee.

A New Twist to Salman-Katrina Romance...

Bollywood bad boy Salman Khan, rumourmongers' easiest prey, is in the news again for all the wrong reasons. It was reported that Salman slapped his long time girlfriend Katrina Kaif at a coffee bar recently. Now Katrina has come out with her version of the story for all to know.

Katrina Kaif is extremely angry with some media reports that she was manhandled and slapped by boyfriend Salman Khan in public at a coffee shop in Mumbai.

The gorgeous actress seems to be tired of the rumours surrounding her love life. And she has lost her patience this time around. She said that she had never talked about her personal life and clarified rumours until now. She termed the 'Salman-slapping' story as baseless rumours and utter rubbish. She added that the rumour must have been started by some guys with vested interest.

"Enough is enough, I have never talked about my personal life and don't intend to because I have always believed that what is personal is personal. But this is too much. The story that has appeared is utter rubbish and fabricated," said a thoroughly irritated and angry Katrina.

She is more upset because Salman is being painted in a bad light. She felt she must take a stand and put a lid on the rumours floating around.

It was earlier rumoured that Salman's possessive attitude had turned Katrina off. So much has been written about them but they have been keeping silent all this while. This time around, Katrina has come out to defend her troubled-boyfriend. She said that Salman never slapped her.

"I suspect that it's being spread by people with vested interests and ulterior motives. I would like to repeat that nothing of this sort happened. Normally, I don't like to clarify but sometimes one has to take a stand and this is one of those times," she said. According to sources close to her, it is the first time Katrina has commented on her personal life.

Meanwhile, Katrina is going great guns as far as her film career is concerned. 2007 was her year. The actress, who churned out five hits last year including "Namastey London", Partner and "Welcome", has always believed in being dignified and keeping her personal life out of public scrutiny.

On her professional front, Katrina said: "I am quite pleased with the way my career has shaped up. Even 'Race' looks extremely slick and has got an international look. It was so special shooting for 'Race'. I am just looking forward to it."

Katrina is quite upbeat about her forthcoming films "Race", "Singh Is Kingg" , "Main Yuvraj" and two films with Yashraj Films..

Well, it's time Salman and Katrina end unnecessary rumours by tying the knot – or at least make their relationship public!

Saif and Kareena to marry in three years!!!!

Monday, February 11, 2008

Are Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor married?” has been the most asked question ever since the rumours that Bollywood's newest couple have sealed their whirlwind romance with a secret wedding was out…but Saif has denied it! Actor Saif Ali Khan has finally set media speculation to rest by saying actress Kareena Kapoor and he "would certainly be getting married in the next three to four years." The two have been going steady for some time now.

The couple has been very public about their closeness but rumours of a nikah started days after Kareena was seen wearing what looked like a diamond engagement ring.

Saif made no bones about his feelings when he had Kareena's name tattooed on his arm. But when asked about the wedding rumours, the actor said such rumours will only upset both families.

"Right now, we have our individual careers to look out for. Please, allow us to concentrate on our careers. I'm especially worried about how such rumours would affect Kareena's career. At this juncture of her career, the last thing she needs is to have people eagerly marrying her off," he said.

"The fact is I'm seriously involved and, yes, the relationship would come to a logical conclusion, namely, marriage. But when it does, we'll announce it properly. Kareena is the woman I want to marry and will marry," Saif declared.

Asked whether the actor and Kareena have undergone a secret "nikaah" (marriage) ceremony Wednesday afternoon, Saif said it was absolutely untrue.

Kareena, on her part, categorically said in an interview that took place on Tuesday, ''I am not getting married for the next five years.''

"All I will say is it's absolutely untrue. There's been far too much speculation and fabrication about our relationship. It's annoying me. I'm sure it's annoying people as well. Far too much attention is being paid to our relationship. Rumours about our marriage are at the limit. Both our families are very upset by them," said Saif.

A section of the media reported that marriage was on the cards for the most talked-about duo in showbiz. The reports have been taken with a pinch of salt by Kareena's parents, who feel that such a premature announcement can affect her career, which has taken off in a big way after the success of "Jab We Met". Meanwhile, industry sources insisted that a wedding had taken place. They said that the Khan family had witnessed the nikaah, but the Kapoor fam
ily has been kept out of it.

So, when do the two plan to tie the knot? "We'll certainly be getting married. But not for the next three to four years," Saif said.

Despite rumours of Kareena and Saif Ali Khan being an ‘item’ , the two seemed least concerned about the media or public gaze as they recently stepped out together along with friends. Kareena and Saif were spotted at a restaurant over the weekend enjoying each other’s company. And despite the fact that they were with friends, both of them were not shy of showing their affection for the other. Saif was seen constantly hugging and complimenting Kareena.

Kareena and Saif began bonding while shooting for their forthcoming Yash Raj film Tashan together. At the restaurant a source claims that although Kareena and Saif interacted with the others, they were mostly involved with each other. Their friends too understood their need for privacy and left them alone for most part. In fact they behaved like a normal couple having a casual outing and both were dressed comfortably and casually in jeans and tees.

The actor admitted that he had in the past consulted his astrologer, Pandit Suvashitraj, about his future, but on a flippant note. "I'm greatly disturbed by the amount of information he seems to have accumulated about my personal life. Even I'm not aware of the 'nikaah'. I spoke to him Friday morning after the story appeared. He said his words had been twisted. And he flatly denied having made any statement on my marriage plans. I don't think I'll be speaking to him again."

Saif was apparently shooting for director Kunal Kohli at 12.30 p.m. Wednesday when he was supposed to be getting married to Kareena. "I've the perfect alibi," he laughed.

When asked about the statement made by the actor's mother that he did not inform his family when he married for the first time, Saif admitted to doing so. "That's true. In a million years, I wouldn't do that to my family again."

Are some people spreading the rumours about the marriage to actually harm Kareena's career? "I never thought of it that way," said Saif. Meanwhile Kareena is eager to do films with big directors and stars, after finally bagging a Yash Raj film; the actress has now set her sights on working opposite Shahrukh Khan in Robot. Kareena is an ardent SRK fan and claims that she shared good on-screen chemistry with him in their film Asoka. Since then she has been waiting for another chance to work with SRK, they were earlier supposed to do Ramgopal Varma’s film Time Machine together, but apparently that did not work out. Now she is going all out to vie for the female lead role in South director Shankar’s film Robot. Reportedly Kareena even went to SRK’s home Mannat recently to personally let him know that she is interested in doing Robot opposite him. Shahrukh has already been finalized to work in Robot which is supposedly a science fiction film. Kareena seems hell bent on working with top directors and stars and she is going all out to ensure that she is considered in the big league.

"I don't think rumours of marriage would damage her career. But getting married definitely would. As long as the truth is known, there's no harm done. And the truth is these marriage rumours are utter rubbish. We aren't married. We aren't even living together. Unfortunately, I don't get to see Kareena half as much as I'd like to," he said.

According to friends of both, he has never been more committed in a relationship. Marriage is definitely on the cards.

Space is not a constraint in Saif's life and home. The actor's new home is large enough for 20 people to live comfortably, he replies to a query whether his new home is being done up to "accommodate two people".

"I think 20 people can live comfortably in my new home. And if you mean Kareena and me, I hope we do live together in that house. But that would be in the future when both of us and our families are ready."

Do these rumours make Valentine's Day unpleasant for the two? No way. "But I am not telling you about our plans. They are very private."

Mithya - Review

First weekend performance of latest release

MITHYA, a Planman Motion Pictures release, arrived at theaters all over on Friday 8th Feb ‘08.

My opinon:

The tongue-in-cheek, sharp humor might not make you roll on the floor but surely makes you laugh out loud.

The subtle comedy in the first half is an integral part of the plot - from a comment on “anything free is better” attitude, to the hints at the eating habits of people in the film industry. Barring a lone toilet joke, the interdependency between the lines and the situation brings a flow to the plot. The humor along with the art direction, the background score, the performances, etc. create an environment conducive to suspension of disbelief. And disbelief you can live with.

Giving credit where it’s due though, only the likes of Rajat Kapoor could cast Ranveer Shorey as the main lead. It takes guts to have Naseeruddin Shah play second fiddle. And he certainly has made an attempt to show the many layers of VK/Raj’s (Ranveer Shorey) character. Now, whether he was successful in getting them across to the audience is an altogether different issue. An awesome opportunity to portray the VK’s mental process is lost.

The first half-second half split in writing has taken its toll on the performances too. A promising start has everybody doing their bit and getting a cackle out of you with their comic timing. And suddenly, the acting too becomes very superficial as the movie approaches the climax.

On the other hand, I thoroughly enjoyed the background score throughout the movie. At times however, especially in the beginning,it overpowered the volume of the dialogues and thus I might have missed a few good dialogues. But overall, it was refreshing accompaniment.

And now ladies and gentlemen the review.....

A PLANMAN MOTION PICTURES Production

Movie Name:Mithya
Cast: Ranvir Shorey, Neha Dhupia, Naseeruddin Shah, Vinay Pathak
Rating: A good way to spend your week end

In a nutshell:

Finally, a real reason to visit the theatres this year has arrived. Don't get me wrong- Mithya is not a masterpiece- but Mithya works very well as a comic thriller- it is hilarious, absorbing and ultimately tragic.

Promos of the film indicate that MITHYA is a funny amalgamation of Bollywood and underworld. Even director Rajat Kapoor concurs since as per him, MITHYA is a tribute to gangster films.

Money, conspiracy, deceit, betrayal, lies.. The Mumbai underworld is about all this, and more.

VK has come to Mumbai, chasing big film dreams, like thousands of others. When fate makes him a pawn in a master game plan of the underworld, he unknowingly gets drawn into a whirlpool of events that will determine his future. Then an unexpected accident turns the tables for everybody involved.

Now begins a chase that won’t stop at anything. VK is too deep into it now to step back. Unknowingly, he has become an imposter, an imposter who wasn’t..

Storyline:

Mithya follows the life of VK (Ranvir Sheorey)- a struggling film actor nursing big dreams yet struggling to make ends meet, who consoles himself and his craft by loudly reciting lines from Hamlet in his shabby apartment, much to the annoyance of his neighbors. And then, one night- when, worn out after a tough day, he sits at the seaside to enjoy a drink, he witnesses a shootout- and life is never the same again.

Revealing more of the unpredictable story which skillfully steers itself through various moods (just like its brilliant lead actor) would be spoiling the fun, and if my summarization of the premise doesn't sound good enough, I would suggest you ignore it and still see the film.

Technically, some aspects of the film- music and the cinematography, which is occasionally straining to watch come across as a drag, but these minor issues aside, what really makes the film worth watching is Ranvir Sheorey's standout performance- ably supported by Naseeruddin Shah, Neha Dhupia, Vinay Pathak and Brijendra Kala. Sheorey he holds the film together superbly, creating a character that's real, amusing and full of pathos.

And thus, though you might reasonably tempted to skip this 'small film' I would wholeheartedly suggest that you still go and catch this little gem before it cruelly gets whisked away from your friendly multiplex- for not often comes a film in Bollywood that is at once smart, thrilling, funny and poignant. And though the plot weakens and withers it is still a movie worth watching. A different storyline and a distinct treatment by Rajat Kapur alone merits the time spent watching it

In short a story worth watching despite the many short falls!

Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaaa - Review

First weekend performance of latest release

Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaaa - Review

My opinon:

Thanks God, khatam hua yeh drama! It could have been sooner but better late than never. Television viewers are finally heaving a sigh of relief as RAMA RAMA KYA HAI DRAMAAA finally released in the weekend gone by. For last so many months, promos of the film were running non-stop at all music channels without any respite. However, good promotion of this weak film didn't really make heads turn and the film expectedly opened to a very poor response. This tacky film is at best a one week runner and would hardly find any takers as it moves into it's second week.

Ironically, no member of the star cast is overtly bothered about the failure of the film since practically everyone had distanced himself/herself from the project weeks back

Eventually it would be the producer and the director who would suffer most from the films ultimate box office status, despite the brave attempt by the producer and director to salvage a poor film by adding a couple of alphabets to the name.

And now ladies and gentlemen the review.....

Movie Name:Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaaa (comedy)
Cast: Rajpal Yadav, Neha Dhupia, Ashish Chaudhry, Amrita Arora
Direction: S Chandrakant
Rating: Surely there is better use of your time than watching this flick

In a nutshell:

All things cheesy don’t taste as good as pizza. Especially if there are sermons on marriage from every character like grandma.

Routine problems, marital tiffs are resolved magically using random mantraaa, and long discourses delivered by a neighbor, a colleague or a friendly rickshaw-walaaa. Brainless chicks and men who have crassness for wit deliver without a commaaa, lines that seem like they have been written by a spot boy with the production-fellaaa. Screaming - the only way they were taught to act at the school of overacting and melodramaaa,

Now if you are wondering why all these “aa” its just to get you into the mood of the movie….

Storyline:

Not one but THREE married couples with their own theories on matrimony. For some, it's nuptial blues, for others it's nuptial bliss, for us it's a sleepy tryst with Rajpal Yadav desperately trying to lug the burden of a non-happening film on his puny shoulders. Raju Raju faltu ka dramaa !

Yadav is a cashier in a bank who settles for an arranged marriage with a small town girl (Neha Dhupia). The girl marries him because she harbours dreams of a glitzy life in amchi Mumbai, with loads of pizza, burger and paani puri.

And the guy marries her because his neighbours (Anupam Kher and Rati Agnihotri) tell him she's ‘heroine’ type (read glamorous). Both their dreams are shattered in the daily bickering that sees the bride sulking before the TV and the groom imagining he's married to any and every beautiful girl he spots. So much so, he even thinks he's married to his boss' wife (Amrita Arora), despite the fact that the boss (Ashish Chaudhary) has his own tale of woe as the archetypal henpecked husband. The third couple is the elderly, yet eternal romantics (Anupam and Rati) who get cosy any and everywhere and believe in saat janam ka saath .

Try stretching a three-hour film around this paper-thin storyline and you know what you'll soon be hearing. Your neighbour's deep-in-slumber snores. Rajpal Yadav tries hard to keep the comic banter on, but the laughs are too few to certify this film as a comedy. And with Amrita Arora and Neha Dhupia perfecting the art of the bimbette bore, there seems to be no respite for the bechara viewer.

blaaah!

So now we have the viewers say…. “Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaaa.”
In short a story that leaves the viewers more confused than ever before!!!!!

Did they or did they Knot?????

Secret Wedding........

No Secret Wedding says Saif as he rubbished reports of his secret ‘Nikaah’(wedding) with Kareena . But then why this Mona Lisa smile Bebo dear?

Speaking with TV news channel CNN-IBN, Saif quoted, 'We are not married, we are not engaged, we don't live together'.

Media reports Thursday claimed the couple had the last laugh, giving the paparazzi the slip, by tying the knot away from prying eyes. Saif however spoke to CNN-IBN to clear the air, and said that he and Kareena are most intent on pursuing their careers for the moment.

Reports Thursday spoke of the purported manner in which 'the secret wedding' was a lot like Saif's first wedding with Amrita Singh, which was also conducted in secrecy.

News of the secret wedding shook Bollywood buzz factories, three months into the relationship of Saif, 37, and Kareena, 27.

Reports quoting reliable sources claimed a quiet nikaah ceremony was conducted in the presence of a maulvi in Saif's new house Laview Patni, in Bandra Wednesday. Saif's astrologer Pandit Suvashitraj was also quoted agreeing that he has heard news of the couple being solemnised with a formal exchange of rings.Reports claimed: 'The ceremony took place at 12.30 pm. This is what is known as vachan vivaah', quoting Saif's astrologer.

Industry sources close to Kareena were also quoted confirming the nikaah and even said that Saif gifted Kareena a BMW.

Pandit ji is quoted as saying that the Kapoor khaandaan feels she should concentrate on her career as a lot of plum offers are coming her way, 'and that she should put her marriage on hold for now'.

Meanwhile, Saif's mother Sharmila Tagore feigned ignorance, and said she had no idea about the secret wedding. 'When he married Amrita Singh, he didn't inform. I don't think he would do the same thing again,' she's quoted as saying.

The Kareena-Saif jodi has been scorching rumours for a few months now. After her break-up with boyfriend-for-four-years, Shahid Kapur, Saif and Bebo have been spotted together at numerous hot spots in Mumbai and Delhi.
Saif and Kareena reportedly became close while shooting for their upcoming film Tashan, setting rumour mills abuzz with their link-up.Her ex, Shahid was away shooting in Canada, when Kareena got drawn to the senior actor on the sets of Tashan, say reports. Shahid was apparently unaware of all that was going on behind his back, even though all was not well with that relationship

Among scoop reports, in one incident earlier at a party at Imperial Hotel in Delhi, a photographer managed to click Saif and Kareena cosying up. But the hawk-eyed Kareena swooped down on the hapless lensman and snatched his camera, before going on to delete the pictures with the help of Usman (Amrita Arora's boyfriend).

Saif and Kareena made their relationship public for the first time at Manish Malhotra's grand finale show at the Lakme Fashion Week Spring-Summer '07. "Yes, we are not exactly shouting from the rooftops, but yes, clearly we are together. And we are happy together," the Chote Nawab had said then.

The couple, soon after the Manish Malhotra appearance, flew out to Greece for the shooting of Tashan - a day before the crew left - with apparent plans to spend some quality time together.Just before their Greece trip, reports also spoke of Kareena making a discreet trip to Bangkok to meet Saif, who was shooting there for Kunal Kohli's upcoming film.

At the Praikrama gig, Saif admitted his tattoo for the first time. About the love mark, Saif said, 'Yes, I've tattooed her name. It's on my forearm. And very visible to the world.'

…………….Spot the Tattoo!!!!!!!!

Close friends say: 'There's a kind of fierce and single-minded determination in Saif to make this relationship work for keeps. And it isn't a defiant determination to disprove the cynics who say it won't last. Saif doesn't give a damn about what people say. He has always gone by his gut feelings, regardless of others.

People close to the couple add, 'Earlier, after Rosa left, there were whispers of Saif being involved with various ladies. Saif doesn't like the image of the Casanova at all. He thinks he's too grown upfor it. He wants stability in his life and a relationship that's for keeps. He believes he has found it in Kareena. Come what may, Saif will make this relationship work.'

Earlier, when the couple were together in Bangkok shooting for Kunal Kohli's film, Saif's co-star Rani Mukerji was privy to many sessions of his outpourings on his love.

Kareena and Saif then brought in the New Year in Hong Kong with Saif's two children.

At another recent function, as Kareena unveiled an issue of Filmfare, she was seen sporting a huge diamond solitaire on her left hand, which led to a lot of speculation of her engagement to Saif Ali Khan.

Close friends of the couple have kept rumours mills spinning with constant denials as well. One source even claimed that the couple is not intent on getting married for the next five years.A friend clarified, "Bebo always had the ring and had been wearing it for some time now. And Kareena is in the best phase of her career and has exciting projects on hand.'

The close friend of the couple goes ahead to say, 'She has no intention of getting married for the next five years. Both Saif and Kareena are enjoying and focusing on their respective career and have no intention of settling soon'.

So now the eternal question…. Did they or did they Knot?????

Well as always we will keep you posted so stay tuned!!!!!

While Shilpa’s sylphlike figure, her cute smile and her beauty is certainly behind her being chosen one of the most eligible girls, it cannot be denied that her gritty and humble character that we saw on the Big Brother show has made her a desirable girl for many bachelors.

Well, the whole world is Shilpa’s oyster now.
